Join us in welcoming the new Duncan Farmer’s Market Executive Director
Duncan, British Columbia: The Downtown Duncan BIA today announced a successful contract renewal with the Duncan Farmer’s Market. This milestone is a major move for the DDBIA on its mission to support our membership community by providing diverse resources while promoting downtown business through progressive leadership.
“Working with outgoing Executive Director, Meredith Potter and the Board of Directors negotiating team has been a pure pleasure.” says Katherine Devine, Executive Director of the Downtown Duncan BIA “This progressive and thoughtful contract ensures a vibrant and prosperous market for the next five years right here in downtown Duncan. We couldn’t be more pleased”.
This news comes in the wake of the Duncan Farmer’s Market naming Janice Roberts as the new Executive Director alongside George Gates who is taking on the role of President, Penny De Waal as Vice President, Leanna Graves as Treasurer and Brenda Langlois as Secretary. Additionally there are three new Directors: Tia Hill , Kelly Grainger, and Mark McCallum.

About the Downtown Duncan BIA: Established in 1997, the Downtown Duncan BIA (DDBIA) is a non-profit organization under the direction of an elected volunteer Board of Directors. The purpose of the Downtown Duncan BIA is to foster a unique, diverse, and vibrant downtown business community.
About the Duncan Farmer’s Market: The Duncan Farmers’ Market, located in historic downtown Duncan in the beautiful Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island can be found every Saturday, year-round, in the market square on Craig Street and down Ingram Street. Offering wares from more than 100 vendors, the market prioritizes farmers and growers alongside artisans and makers.
