Spectral Bodies – Fragments from a Journey
Art of Justin Oglivie
Date: September 5th - November 15th
Ogilvie’s artistic career has developed in powerful stages he calls his ‘Acts’. His early figurative work (Act One) blended realism with dreamlike restraint, while Act Two saw a radical break into vivid color and playful abstraction.
In Act Three—the focus of this exhibition—Ogilvie fuses both worlds, uniting the human figure with dynamic forms, digital-era influences, and a daring emotional range.

Spooktacular Trick or Treating

Join us in Downtown Duncan this Halloween for a safe, family-friendly morning of trick-or-treating! Local shops and restaurants will be handing out candy to costumed ghosts, goblins, superheroes, and princesses of all ages.
Look for the pumpkin poster in the window to know which businesses are participating.
It’s a wonderful way to celebrate Halloween, explore downtown, and enjoy some sweet treats along the way. Don’t forget your costume!

Halloween Sip & Shop Night at Laine Vintage

Get ready for a spooky and stylish evening in Downtown Duncan! Laine Vintage is hosting their first-ever Halloween Sip & Shop Night, featuring a live DJ (mr.boombaux), Halloween-themed cocktails (19+), and body art by @blushbodyart, including face painting and henna tattoos.
Guests can also take part in a costume contest and enjoy prizes and games throughout the night.

Mantra, Meditation & Sound

Deborah, Shelby & Susan host this evening of mantra & guided meditation concluding with a crystal bowl sound healing.
Settle into stillness and allow this sacred space to become a sanctuary for rest and renewal.
We begin with mantra — the vibration of sound woven with intention. Through gentle repetition, the mantra becomes a bridge between mind and heart, helping to quiet the inner noise and open a field of calm awareness.
From here, we move into meditation, inviting the breath to slow and the body to soften. This is a journey inward — a chance to witness, to listen, and to reconnect with the quiet wisdom within.
As the practice deepens, you are bathed in the ethereal sound of crystal singing bowls. Their pure, resonant frequencies ripple through the body, harmonizing the nervous system and balancing subtle energy centers.
Together, mantra, meditation, and sound create a tapestry of vibration and stillness — a return to harmony, to presence, to peace.

Christmas Window Contest
Voting period is: Friday, November 21st - Thursday, December 18
The magic of the holidays is alive in Downtown Duncan!
This year’s Annual Christmas Window Contest theme is Christmas Songs. Our downtown shops will decorate their windows to bring festive tunes to life in creative and magical ways.
Starting Nov. 21 at Christmas Kick-Off, you can walk through downtown, enjoy the decorated windows, and vote for your favourite by scanning the QR code on each poster.
Voting stays open until Dec. 18, and the winner will be crowned on Dec. 19.
