In conjunction with the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation,

The DDBIA is aiding in the organization of several events. The first is an outwear and winter boot drive for school children in need, followed by the second annual "Every Child Matters" march.

Warmth for every child

Outerwear and winter boot drive. 

The DDBIA will be collecting donations of new, and like new kids (K-7) outerwear and winter boots. What does that include? winter coats, snow pants, rain coats/pants, toques, mitts, winter/rubber boots and other warm clothing!

 

On September 30th from 11 am - 2 pm

 

please bring donations to Si’em Lelum.

5574 River Rd, Duncan, BC V9L 6V9

At the red Downtown Duncan tent.

 

Donations will be distributed to children in need at Khowhemun, Alexander, and

Quw'utsun Smuneem Elementary schools.

Every Child Matters march

September 30th, 9 am. 

Join fellow marchers at Si'em Lelum on Saturday morning for the "Every Child Matters" march. 

At the conclusion of the march, stay at Si'em Le'lum for prayer, speakers, and performances. 

Also onsite will be food trucks, gelato and vendors!

9:30am Walk begins

10:30am Walk arrive back to field

10:45am Welcome by Audrey George & M’akola Board

11am Introduction MC
