Brr, it's cold outside. Drown your sorrows in some beer soap.

Baths are not just good for hygiene. Having a soak is great for your mental health, too. Now that the cold is moving in, the Downtown Duncan BIA stopped by Backwoods Bath & Soap for inspiration to build a better bath for you or for someone you love.

1) One Friday Night Bath

Get ready for a night on the town with a bath that makes you want to party. Enjoy a margarita-scented candle with a peach bellini bath bomb, then moisturize with some cannabis-infused hand and body lotion. You'll feel festive in no time! You won't even have to worry about mixing your cocktail bath bomb with a Red Arrow Brewing beer soap.

On the side: Laughing Lemon, a caffeinated yerba mate with healthful properties, which you can enjoy iced. Available at Chari-teas, alongside brews like Berry Fields Forever which you can get wrapped as a party favour, too.

2) Get in the Christmas Spirit Bath

Do you have OCD: Obsessive Christmas Disorder? Fill this cute mug with some tea, light up an eggnog candle in a reindeer candle holder, and rinse yourself off with some Backwoods cranberry soap. When you're done, slather on some Kogi Naturals winter cream for dry skin, and slip into this plaid Pook onesie. Just like Christmas!

3) Baby Bonding Bath

Bath time can be play time! Clean your child with bath mitt buddies to make this sometimes tough task a puppet show. Keep any tears at bay with Kogi Naturals tear-free shampoo and body wash. Once you've rinsed off the mess of the day, give your kid a stuffed orca whale to cuddle up against while you read Skinnamarink. Now that your little one is asleep, treat yourself to a cupcake bath bomb.

3) "My Partner Forgot to Take the Trash Out!" Bath

Are the dishes looking at you dirty again? Let it go with a wine candle in a lavender bubble bath. Then snuggle up in a soft throw blanket and mist your pillows with Settle Down essential oil spray. As you drift off to sleep, you won't even remember that someone forgot to take the garbage out again.

On the side: CalmLav by Westholme, available online and at the Duncan Farmer's Market on Saturdays.

5) Make Your Man a Bath

Bathing is often seen as feminine, but men enjoy bathing too. Hand your man some Kokanee beer soap and Kogi Naturals shaving line for after, and see what happens! If he reads in the tub, throw in the latest John Grisham novel too.
